Query Complexity Analysis

Depth alone does not measure query cost accurately. A shallow field that performs a huge database operation may be more expensive than a deeper field that returns a small object.

Complexity analysis assigns costs to fields or operations and rejects queries whose estimated cost exceeds a configured threshold. List fields often receive higher costs because they can multiply the amount of work performed.
