Integration tests execute real GraphQL queries and mutations against the schema. They are valuable because they validate more than a resolver function in isolation: parsing, validation, resolver execution, context construction, serialization, and error behavior can all be exercised together.

For database-backed applications, tests can use an isolated test database or controlled test environment.
