GraphQL as a Backend for Frontend
GraphQL is frequently used as a Backend for Frontend, or BFF, layer. The BFF presents a client-oriented API while integrating multiple underlying services.
This can be particularly useful when web and mobile applications require different data shapes or when frontend teams need a stable API without directly coordinating calls to many backend services.
The BFF should still avoid becoming a dumping ground for business logic that belongs in domain services.
