Handling File Uploads

Large binary files are usually better handled by object storage than by embedding file contents directly into GraphQL responses.

A common architecture is for GraphQL to create an upload authorization or signed URL. The client then uploads the file directly to object storage. GraphQL can subsequently store metadata about the uploaded object.

This avoids forcing the GraphQL server to become a high-throughput binary transfer service.
