GraphQL, Webhooks and Events

GraphQL is primarily a client-facing API layer. Event-driven systems such as queues and event streams serve different purposes.

A production architecture may use GraphQL for interactive application requests, webhooks for inbound external notifications, and message brokers for asynchronous internal processing.

Keeping these responsibilities separate helps prevent long-running background work from blocking synchronous GraphQL operations.
