Understanding Breaking Changes
A breaking GraphQL change is any change that can cause an existing valid client operation to fail or behave incompatibly.
Examples include removing a field, changing a field from nullable to a different incompatible type, removing an enum value that a client may use, or changing required input fields in a way that invalidates existing operations.
Breaking changes should be treated as compatibility events and should normally require a migration strategy.
