Large GraphQL teams need governance rules for naming, ownership, nullability, pagination, error handling, deprecation, and security.

Governance does not mean requiring a committee to approve every field. Automated schema checks, ownership metadata, linting, review guidelines, and compatibility checks can enforce many rules automatically.

The goal is to keep the graph coherent as many developers and teams contribute to it.
